Virginia R. "Ginny" Herrod

Virginia R. "Ginny" Herrod, 76, of Latrobe died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007, at home. Born Nov. 23, 1930, in Latrobe, she was a daughter of the late James and Della (Burns) Herrod. A homemaker, she was an avid bingo and card player, and loved building puzzles. She also never missed an episode of A�General Hospital.A� In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Sarah Trongo, Cora Shortridge, Eileen Ruffner and Jean Herrod, and her brothers, Richard and Thomas Herrod. She is survived by her niece and nephew Bruno and Diana Holnaider, with whom she made her home for the past 38 years; her eight great-nieces and great-nephews, Bruno, Bruce, Bradley, Bernadette, Bernard, Brian, Bridget, Bonita and their families; 10 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews for whom she lived every day, and other nieces and nephews. She was loved very much and will be missed forever. Services will be private. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township. Funeral arrangements will be handled by Frederick Funeral Home Inc., Latrobe.
