Victor William Miller, Jr

Victor William "Bill" Miller Jr., 66, passed away Friday, April 3, 2009, at his home in Latrobe. Born Sept. 1, 1942, in Latrobe, he was a son of the late Victor William Miller Sr. and Alice Renner Miller. Bill retired from sales with Keystone Foam Corp. (16 years) and was a past treasurer of Donegal American Legion Post 941. "Dr. Bill" was better known for his services as a disc jockey in the tri-county area and also North Myrtle Beach, S.C., for the past 40 years. He was a forefather of the rhythm and beach music in the Pittsburgh area, which is very popular in the Carolinas. He is survived by his wife, Paunee Miller; son, Scott Miller from Latrobe; daughter, Carrie Webber from Warren, Ohio, and brother, James Miller, and sister-in-law, Judy Miller, both from Acme. Gathering of family and friends will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Weldon Street, Latrobe.
