Sylvia M. Mitchell

Sylvia M. Mitchell, 73, of Youngstown, Pa., died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at her home. She was born Feb. 2, 1935, in Latrobe, daughter of the late Ralph and Emma Patton Neiman. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Josephine Marie Will and a half- brother Carl Neiman. She is survived by a son, George E. Mitchell Jr., and his fiance, Wendy Orndorff, of Youngstown; four daughters, Cindy Beacom, and her husband, Tim, of Blairsville, Susan Nicely and her husband, Tim, of Derry, Georgia Robinsky and her husband, Mark, of Latrobe, and Rita Wigfield, of Derry; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; six sisters, Patty Will, of Latrobe, Eleanore Stemmler, of Derry, Sally Novak and her husband, Barney, Jeannine Bush, Sandy Krinock and her husband, Donald, all of Latrobe, and Joann Klim and her husband, Kenny of Derry; a half-sister, Maureen Neiman of New Kensington; and a sister-in-law, Alberta Neiman, of Derry. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Unity Chapel.
