Robert T. Terney

Robert B. "Bob" Terney, 78, of Latrobe, died Saturday, June 23, 2007, at home. Born Sept. 2, 1928, in Cooperstown, he was a son of the late Robert and Josephine Beuten Terney. He retired from Latrobe Steel Company as a specialty products worker. Prior to working for Latrobe Steel, he worked at Westinghouse in Blairsville. He was a member of St. Rose Roman Catholic Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he especially enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Bowman. He is survived by his wife, Nell T. (Thomas) Terney; a son, Richard L. Terney, of Issaquah, Wash.; two daughters, Pamela J. French and her husband, Sutton, of Fountain Inn, S.C., and Cherie D. Terney, of Fredericksburg, Va.; and a granddaughter, Candace Jean French. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. A blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. William P. Donahue officiating. Burial in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.
