Richard D. Novak

Richard D. Novak, 77, of Latrobe, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at the Grove at Latrobe. He was born Sept. 21, 1940, in Latrobe to the late Henry Novak and Ann (Mehal) Novak. Richard was a retired insurance salesman and served in the Army. He is survived by his daughter, Ann Marie Puhalla and her husband Stephen; two grandchildren, Jackson T. and Owen J.  Puhalla; three brothers, Henry Novak Jr., Gervase Novak and Edward P. Novak; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. Military honors will be conducted at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home by the Latrobe-Derry Veterans Honor Guard. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Daniel C. Mahoney, VF, officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Latrobe.
