Paul T. Priestas

Paul T. "Pete" Priestas, 76, of Latrobe, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006. He was born Aug. 10, 1930, in Latrobe, to the late Joseph and Anna Marie (Vogas) Priestas. He retired from Latrobe Die Casting and was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, American Legion Post 515 and the Frontier Club. He also was a Army veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Frances "Fran" (Toner) Priestas; a daughter, Cynthia Shaforon, of Latrobe; a brother, Joseph C. Priestas, of Latrobe; three sisters, Anna Marie Koski, of Maryland, Mary Jane Trumbetta and Katherine Wellek, both of Latrobe; as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Family Roman Catholic Church. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Latrobe. The combined funeral detail of American Legion Post 515 and VFW Post 3414 will provide military honors at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
