Mary Ann (Szabo) Hamilton, 89, of Latrobe, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Independence Health System Latrobe Hospital. She was born September 2, 1936, in Latrobe, the daughter of the late John and Anna (Ship) Szabo. She was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church. Mary Ann was an amazing Mother and homemaker. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, and playing cards. Mary Ann loved all types of music and was an excellent musician who played the violin, piano, trumpet and sang. She had an all-girl polka band called "The Polka Queens” when she was young. Later in life, she studied and became a Naturopathic Doctor. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Hamilton in 1984, one son, Dennis M. Hamilton in 1984, a sister, Margaret E. Voytilla, brother in law, Thomas Voytilla, and special friend Andrew Orenish. Mary Ann is survived by four children, Karen A. Glamp and husband Stanley, Barbara J. Hamilton, Charles J. Hamilton and Lisa Marie Hamilton all of Latrobe; five grandchildren, Stanton, Zachary and Lucas Glamp, Sarah Davis and husband Zachary, and Matthew Hamilton; a great grandson Charlie Davis, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier Street, Latrobe, PA 15650. Divine Liturgy will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 15, 2025 at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Bradenville, PA with Fr. Athanasius C. Cherry, O.S.B. as celebrant.
