Mary Crusan

Mary Crusan, 88, of Latrobe passed away at Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Loyalhanna Care Center, Derry Township. She was born March 8, 1924, a daughter of the late Charles Gronsky and Josephine Kopetsky Demase. Mary was a dishwasher at William Penn Tavern, until she married and started a family, when she took on the most important job of wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy W. Crusan; her son Barry Crusan; her son Patrick A. Crusan and his wife, Patricia, and her grandson Patrick A. Crusan III; her son Kenneth L. Crusan; a son-in-law, Ralph Kenneth Snyder Sr., and two grandsons, Robin Allen and Christopher Ian Crusan. She is survived by five children, Roger W. Crusan of New Derry, Geraldine Allen of Latrobe, Barbara Jean Snyder of Hostetter, Boyd Crusan and his wife, Robin, and Faith A. Crusan of Uniontown; 20 grandchildren, Barbara Padrick and her husband, Donnie, Mya Cape and her husband, Dean, Moni Moody and her husband, James, Shawn Crusan and his wife, Tina, George Curtis and his wife, Michelle, Joshua Crusan, Ian Crusan, Robert Allen, Billy Allen, Marilyn Overly, Georgeann Snyder, Ralph Kenneth Snyder Jr., Linda Simms and her husband, Vern, Mary Crusan, Gretchen Pahel and her husband, Aaron, Heidi Hughes and her husband, Mark, Amanda Dando and her husband, David, Robert Coleman, William Ruby and Beth Ann Crusan Gunter, as well as numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, in Frederick Funeral Home Inc., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. Burial will be in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township. The Crusan family would like to thank all the staff at Loyalhanna Care Center and Medi Hospice for loving and caring for Mary, like she was their own mother!
