Luella M. "Peggy" Terney, 57, of Latrobe, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, in St. Anne Home, Greensburg. Born Nov. 24, 1954, in Latrobe, she was a daughter of the late Wallace Hunter Treece and Carol Gertrude Forsha. She was employed as an office manager by Safari Contract (Clear Pane) Cleaners, where she worked for 30 years. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, where she also served on the parish council. She was the chartered organization representative for Boy Scout Troop 304, as well as a past treasurer and committee member, and former den leader for Cub Scout Pack 304. She organized the first Ski Club at Christ the Divine Teacher School in Latrobe and was a former ski instructor at Hidden Valley Ski Resort. Peggy was also a former BOD of the Latrobe Junior Women's Club. She graduated from Derry Area High School as a member of the Class of 1972. She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Carol and Sal Cordi, of Derry; and her father, Wallace Treece, of Blairsville. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, David J. Terney; two sons, Stephen Terney and his wife, Melissa, of Mt. Pleasant, and Stuart Terney, at home; a sister, Debora Percha and her husband, Jim, of Uniontown, Ohio; a brother, David Treece, of Latrobe; and numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Latrobe, with the Rev. Anthony Carbone as celebrant. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery, Latrobe. Members of Boy Scouts of America Troop 304 will conduct a service at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
