Karen (Silvis) Massetto, 81, of Clinton, South Buffalo Twp., formerly of Keppel Hill, Vandergrift, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026, at The Seasons of Saxonburg. She was born September 20, 1944, in Oklahoma Boro, Apollo, PA, to the late John Edgar and Alice (Rishel) Silvis. Mrs. Massetto was a Registered nurse for 45 years, was certified and worked in occupational health for 25 years at B&W, National Roll, Moonlight Mushroom, Allegheny Ludlum, Duraloy Corp. and the former Citizens General Hospital. She was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Vandergrift and attended the Clinton Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Southwestern PA Associations of Occupational Health Nurses, Presbyterian-University Hospital Nurses Alumni Association, American Red Cross Nurse, Vandergrift Historical Society, and a VNA hospice volunteer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edgar M. Silvis and Wayne S. Silvis; and a sister, Denise Rupert. Karen is survived by her husband of 60 years, Peter Massetto; a son, Lance Massetto (Michele); two grandsons, Anthony Massetto (Caroline) and Justin Massetto (Mary Kate); five great grandchildren, Cecilia Massetto, twins John and Susanna Massetto, Lance and James Massetto; and a sister, SueAnn Ednie of Boyds, MD. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Apr. 15, 2026, at the Brady-Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 429 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift, PA 15690 - (724) 568-1621. A Blessing Service will be held Thursday, Apr. 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Fr. Alan N. Polczynski officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge View Cemetery, Eldersridge, PA.
