Joseph M. O'Hara

Joseph M. O'Hara, 72, of Latrobe, died Friday, May 22, 2015, in Hempfield Manor. Born June 27, 1942, in White Township, he was a son of the late Mark J. O'Hara and Elizabeth Ganley O'Hara. He was a retired project manager for L-D Building Co. and Dill Construction and was a retired facility manager for St. Vincent College. He had been a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America (62 years of service); American Legion Post No. 14, Indiana, Pa.; Westmoreland County Historical Society; and the Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania. He was a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and attended West Virginia University. He was a proud member of the Navy including active service and participation during the Cuban Missile Crisis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Beth House. He was the last living member of his immediate family. There will be no public visitation. A private graveside service will be held at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Indiana, Pa.
