Joseph W. "Joe K" Kosczuk

Joseph W. "Joe K" Kosczuk, 58, of Latrobe, died Saturday, July 6, 2013, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born March 18, 1955, in Brownsville, son of the late Joseph Kosczuk and Genevieve Casto Kosczuk. Joe was retired and had worked as a paramedic, licensed funeral director and as a registered nurse for Torrance State Hospital. He was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Delmont Concert Band and co-owner of Duetrombe. He loved polkas, his 1967 Camaro and his parrot, Manny. He also enjoyed playing trumpet at his church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Genevieve Casto Kosczuk. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Phyllis A. (Gasbarro) Kosczuk; two children, Brian Kosczuk and his wife, Susan, and Bethann Trickett and her husband, Jason; two grandchildren, Joseph Dominic Kosczuk and Nicholas Gross; and a brother, Charles Casto and his wife, Katherine. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. A funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 AM, Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Vincent Cemetery, Latrobe. In lieu of flowers, Joe's family requests memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 1200 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650.
