Joseph Anton Agostoni, Jr., 87, of Greensburg, PA (formerly of Finleyville, PA), passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Concordia at Weatherwood in Greensburg, PA. He was born September 18, 1938, in Finleyville, PA to the late Joseph Anton Agostoni, Sr. and Doris (Crookham) Agostoni. Joe served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a retired iron worker, having worked for more than 35 years in Iron Workers Local Union #3.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his dear and beloved sister Joann (Agostoni) Castor of Freedom, PA and brother Peter Agostoni of Finleyville, PA. Joe is survived by his brother, Ronald Agostoni of Elrama, PA, his ex-wife Paula (Gavelic) Agostoni of New Eagle, PA, and their two sons, Erik J. Agostoni and Bret Agostoni. His son, Erik, is married to Rebecca (Little) Agostoni, both of Greensburg, PA. They are parents to Joe’s four grandsons - Ethan, Nolan, Roman, and Warren. His son, Bret, is married to Amy (Ries) Agostoni, both of Bethel Park, PA. They are parents to Joe’s granddaughter Talia.

Joe spent most of his life taking care of the Agostoni Family homestead with his brother Pete in Finleyville, PA maintaining the many gardens, fruit trees, and wildlife on the property. Joe enjoyed his many adventures hunting, fishing, and hiking across some of North America’s most beautiful landscapes from Newfoundland to the Western Rocky Mountains. The mountains and streams of Sinnemahoning, PA were his favorite place to enjoy the outdoors with his family. The Agostoni family “camp” in Sinnemahoning is where he taught his sons and grandchildren to fish and passed on his love of the great outdoors to his family. The annual Sinnemahoning Sportsmen’s Club kids fishing derbies at Brooks Run and Wycoff Run were always a family favorite.

Joe's legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, each of whom brought immense pride and joy to his life. Joe also held a special place in the hearts of his extended family of nieces and nephews, sharing countless treasured moments. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
