Jeanne Casterwiler Henry, 85, of Latrobe passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. Born Sept. 12, 1928, in Latrobe, she was a daughter of the late Alexander H. and Louise (Hood) Casterwiler. Jeanne was a homemaker and served as treasurer for Bethany United Methodist Church, where she was a member. She also was treasurer for both the district United Methodist Women and local United Methodist Women. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Alexander; a brother, Paul Casterwiler, and a sister, Sara Hunter and her husband, Bradley. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Charles D. "Chuck" Henry; four children, Susan J. Henry of Jeannette, Michael D. Henry of Derry, James A. Henry and his wife, Kathy, of Pocomoke City, Md., and Dianne E. Smith and her husband, Edward, of Greensburg; eight grandchildren, William Redish, Rebecca Dennis and her husband, Curt, Sandy Kiser and her husband, Shawn, Angelina Henry, Nathan Henry, Maria Henry, Christopher Henry and Matthew Henry; four great-grandchildren, Sheldon and Ethan Kiser and Gavin and Hayley Dennis; two sisters, Mary Alice Fisher and her husband, Curtis, and Ellen Lawson and her husband, Ronald; a brother, Larry Casterwiler and his wife, Bobbie; a sister-in-law, Donna Casterwiler; niece Brenda Hunter; nephew Scott Hunter, as well as several other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, in Frederick Funeral Home Inc., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe PA 15650. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, in Bethany United Methodist Church, Latrobe, with Pastor Jonathan Fehl officiating. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Burial will be in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, 2415 Laveen St., Latrobe PA 15650.
