Jacob Noah Sphon, 100, of Latobe, passed away November 26, 2025, at Hempfield Manor. He was born August 25, 1925, in Luxor, to the late James and Minerva (Harshall) Sphon. Jacob was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and a retired ceramic tile worker having worked for Greensburg Mantel and Tile. He was also a member of the Luxor Methodist Church. Jacob loved to play the guitar all his life. He particapated in several groups and even played professionally on the radio many times. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis A. (Squib) Sphon in 2023; two sons, Clyde "Bud" Sphon and James "Ruff" Ruffner Sphon. Jacob is survived by two sons, Jacob Edward Sphon (Linda) and William Sphon (Barbara); three step children, James Hollobaugh, Tim Hollobaugh, and Kathy "Katie" Phillips (Daniel); a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren. Visitation and services will be private. Interment will be in Unity Cemetery, Latrobe, PA.
