Ida Springel

Ida Springel, 98, of Latrobe, died Friday, June 19, 2009, at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. She was born May 23, 1911, in Warsaw, Poland, a daughter of the late Andrew Klepczynski and Mary Jastrzeboski Klepczynski. she was a homemaker and a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edmond Klepczynski. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Edward A. Springel; a son, Edward R. Springel, DMD, and his wife, Donna, of Latrobe; four grandchildren, Edward H. Springel, MD, and his wife, Tamar Springel MD, of Philadelphia, Richard G. Springel and his wife, Jaime, of Latrobe, Katie Franks and her husband, Donald, of Charlotte, N.C., and Mary Springel, of Mt. Pleasant; and four great-grandchildren, Donald, John, Sofie and Leah. Visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. A Blessing Service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC.
