Homer Raymond Mather III

Homer Raymond Mather III, 76, of Latrobe (Unity Twp.), passed away Friday, Dec. 26, 2025, at Independence Health System - Latrobe Hospital. He was born Jun. 10, 1949, in Latrobe to the late Dr. Homer Raymond Mather Jr. and Jane (Crawford) Mather. Homer was retired with many years of service from Kennametal where he last worked as a human resources manager. He loved to ski, travel and his favorite place to be was in Rehoboth Beach with his wife Cathy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Susan Noviello and Beth Ann Toolin. Homer is survived by his wife of 46 years, Cathy Ann (Kirgan) Mather; a son, Douglas Mather; two grandchildren, Alyssa Mather and Taylor Mather; two siblings, Judy Merrick (Tim) and William Cotton Mather (Janey); as well as several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier Street, Latrobe, PA 15650.
