Harry B. Miller, 58, of Latrobe, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He was born May 20, 1950, in Latrobe, a son of the late Robert A. and Lois A. Miller. He was a retired Congressional Aid for Senator Gene Porterfield, was a 1968 graduate of Latrobe High School and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. He was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, past president of the Westmoreland County Sportsman's League, president of the PA Sportsmen for the Disabled, a member of the Allegheny County Sportsmen's League and the founder of "Special Day for Special Kids". In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Frank M. Miller. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patty A. (Miller) Miller; a son, Christopher M. Miller and his wife, Deanna, of Latrobe; a daughter, Jennifer J. Stitt and her husband, Les, of Latrobe; a grandson, Colin P. Gearhart; a brother, Robert L. Miller, of Port Charlotte, Fla.; four sisters, Nettie Guskiewicz and her husband, Tim, of North Huntingdon, Carol Kosker and her husband, Richard, of Saltsburg, Mary Lou Watkins, of Latrobe, and Elaine Lloyd, of Youngstown; a brother-in-law, John G. Miller and his wife, Darlene, of Derry; a sister-in-law, Shirley Hutchinson, of Latrobe; as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Tuesday and Wednesday at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Vincent Cemetery, Latrobe. To send online condolences, visit www.frederickfuneralhome.com.
