Harry C. "Chet" Clawson, Jr

Harry C. "Chet" Clawson Jr., 65, of Latrobe, died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011, at home. Born Sept. 9, 1946, in Ligonier, he was a son of the late Chester H. and Nellie A. (Clark) Clawson. Prior to retirement, he worked for Volkswagen as a buffer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Judy K. Clawson, Shirley Hill and Carol Liebel; and a brother, John R. Clawson. He is survived by his wife, Rosann (McKenna) Clawson; two sons, Benjamin and Gregory Clawson, of Latrobe; five stepchildren, John Harner, Marcie Nibarger, Jodie Pickett, Linda Balik and Tracy Harner; numerous grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie Clawson, of Greensburg; as well as several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Jason Losier officiating. Interment will be private.
