Glenn E. Barr Sr.

Glenn E. Barr Sr., 73, of Latrobe passed away Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at home.  Born March 29, 1944, in Latrobe, he was a son of the late John D. and Elizabeth (Aukerman) Barr.  Glenn was a retired sheet metal worker, having worked as a welder and fabricator for Latrobe Sheet Metal Works Inc.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara A. Ahlborn Barr, in 2013; four brothers, Earl Aukerman, Bill, Charley and Francis Barr, and three sisters, Maxine, Alice and Bonnie Barr.  He is survived by four children, Patricia Barr, Glenn E. Barr Jr. and his wife, Ann, Jeffrey A. Barr and his wife, Lee Ann, and Tammy L. Barr and her fiancé, Doug Schober; six grandchildren, Amanda Flowers and her husband, Jr., Tiffany Barr, Dakota Barr, Stephanie Kistner, Sarah Kistner and Jason Kistner; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Sara Walters, and several nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, in Frederick Funeral Home Inc., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe.  A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, in the funeral home with Pastor Tom Kennedy officiating.  Burial will be in St. Paul’s Reformed Cemetery, Trauger.  To purchase flowers or send condolences, please visit www.FrederickFuneralHome.com.
