Gertrude M. Patton

Gertrude M. Nuttal Patton, 80, of Ardara passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Born Aug. 1, 1932, in Hutcherson, she was a daughter of Richard and Frances (Maughan) Nuttal. Gertrude was a homemaker. She was from a large family, having 16 brothers and sisters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Patton, in 1998, and her beloved companion, Benji the dog. She is survived by five children, Richard Charles Patton, Frances Bernadette Bolek, Diana Marie Flynn, Robert Leroy Patton and his wife, Cheryl, and Darlene Rose Pagnanelli and her companion, Thomas Smith; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, in Frederick Funeral Home Inc., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, in the funeral home with Thomas Smith, her grandson, officiating.
