George A. Frederick, 57, of Latrobe, died Tuesday, April 9, 1996, in Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born Sept. 22, 1938, in New Kensington, the son of the late George H. and Carmella E. Troiano Frederick. He was the owner and Funeral Director of the Dell-Frederick Funeral Home Inc., with 35 years of service. He was a graduate of New Kensington High School, Class of 1956, three years at Mt. Union College, and graduate of Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, Class of 1960. He served his internship at Brady Funeral Home, Vandergrift, and became licensed as a funeral director in 1961. He was a member of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church. He also was a member of the Loyalhanna Lodge #275 F&AM of Latrobe, Consistory Valley of Pittsburgh, Syria Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. of Pittsburgh, Knights of Columbus Council #940 4th Degree, St. Vincent Assembly, American Legion Post #515 of Latrobe, National Funeral Directors Association, Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association, Westmoreland Armstrong Indiana Funeral Directors Association, B.P.O.E. #907 of Latrobe, Lions Club of Arnold, life member of the Western Pennsylvania Sportsmen Club, life member of Amature Trapshooters of America, Holy Name Society of the church, Latrobe Chamber of Commerce, Ligonier Country Club, and National Golfers of America. He served in the U.S. Army as a staff sergeant from 1961 to 1972. He is survived by his wife, Patricia C. Chladny Frederick; two sons, George ``Joe' Frederick and his wife Lisa of Latrobe and Kelly D. Frederick, a student at Kent State University, Ohio; a grandaughter, Ashley Frederick, who is Pap Pap's Little Angel; and a sister, Mrs. John (Sheila) Oliverio of Pittsburgh. Friends will be received Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the DELL-FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church, Latrobe, with the Rev. Paul Rubadue, O.S.B. as celebrant. Interment in Unity Cemetery, Latrobe. Masonic services will be held Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Military services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
