G. Jean Scott

G. Jean (Brobst) Scott, 83, of Ligonier, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Independence Health System - Latrobe Hospital.  She was born February 19, 1941, in Braddock, a daughter of the late Frank B. and Linda R. (Seman) Brobst.  Jean was a retired secretary and had worked for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the U.S. Navy and Hoover Insurance Company.  She enjoyed voluntering for Meals on Wheels in Ligonier and Latrobe.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Rowland E. Scott, Jr.; a brother, Charles Brobst; and a companion of Gene Faith, until his death August 2, 2011.  Jean is survived by her children and grandchildren, Charles B. Scott (Arlene) and their children, Brad, Megan and Ryan; David W.
