Emma Gean (Barron) Emert, 84, of Ligonier, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. She was born Dec. 25, 1932, in Rockwood, a daughter of the late Orlin D. Barron and Edna Henry Barron. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clair B. Emert; a son, Michael B. Emert; and four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her three daughters, Beverly S. (Leonard) Peffer, Debra L. (John) Onega and Cindy K. (Wesley) Darr; a son, Ralph O. (Lisa) Emert; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Susie Mullins, Violet Barron, Bonnie Blough and Linda Zearfoss; a brother, Orlin D. Barron Jr.; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was a faithful member of the Latrobe Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed speaking to others about the good news of God's Kingdom. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, in the Latrobe Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 549 Charles Houck Road, Latrobe, PA 15650.
