Doris M. Lapka

Doris M. Lapka, 72, of Latrobe, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006, in Loyalhanna Care Center, Latrobe. Born July 3, 1933, in Hannastown, she was a daughter of the late Anthony J. and Margaret E. Zuback Nalevanko. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by her loving husband, Arthur "Artie" Lapka; three beautiful children, Lori Quinn and her husband, Carroll, of Pittsburgh, Stefanie Lutzo and her husband, Michael, of Philadelphia, and Art Lapka Jr., of Crabtree; a treasured grandson, Peter Lutzo; three stepgrandchildren; two beloved brothers, John F. Nalevanko and his wife, Ginna, of Annandale, Va., and Anthony G. Nalevanko Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Latrobe; four beloved sisters, Peggy Shibilsky and her husband, Dick, of Greensburg, Betty Smartnick and her husband, William, of Greensburg, Susan Little and her husband, Dennis, of Latrobe, and Kathleen Burk and her husband, Roy, of Latrobe; as well as numerous caring nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, Crabtree. Interment in Calvary Hill Cemetery, Crabtree.
