Donna Marie Klos-Hosbach

November 18, 1939 — July 26, 2015

Following a difficult and painful health struggle, Donna Marie Klos-Hosbach of Stahlstown, Pennsylvania, passed away in the early afternoon of July 26, 2015. She was just 75. Donna was born on November 18, 1939, the youngest daughter of 13 children, to Harry Valentine Klos and Catherine Elizabeth Nath of Pittsburgh. Harry V. Klos & Sons was a family business of craftsmen best known for applying the gold leaf adornments in Pittsburgh's Heinz Hall and maintaining and painting the attractions of Kennywood Park. Donna graduated from St. Joseph's Catholic School in Mt Oliver. She married her soul-mate John David Hosbach on February 5, 1958, and they immediately started a family. Donna and John created a comfortable and exciting life for themselves and their four children. John started his own successful fabricating business and Donna studied real estate working in Mt Lebanon for Century 21. Donna loved showing homes and used those experiences to develop her own interior design skills. Donna enjoyed the theatre and fine dining. After moving to the Laurel Highlands, Donna entertained frequently at her beloved home, Evergreen. Her home became the center for all family and holiday celebrations with Christmas at Evergreen being her annual tour de force. Whether black tie or blue grass, Donna's social gatherings became legendary. Donna is survived by her husband of 57 years John David; four children: Christian David, Gretchen Lee, Cheryl Ann Creacy, and Erich David; four grandchildren: Amanda Lynn Hosbach, Christian John Hosbach, Derek Alexander Creacy, and Martha Ayn Creacy. At the request of the deceased, a small private remembrance with immediate family will take place. The family encourages donations to the American Diabetes Association in memory of Donna Hosbach: www.diabetes.org/donate. Frederick Funeral Home, Inc., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650 is handling arrangements. To send condolences, please visit www.FrederickFuneralHome.com.
