Donald C. Murphy, 65, of Latrobe, died Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. He was born May 6, 1950, in Latrobe, to the late Wilma (Quick) Murphy. He was a self-employed contractor and was a member of Derry Rod and Gun Club. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters, William Murphy, Millie Stough, Mary Gamble, Peg Correll and James Murphy. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Diana J. (Trenney) Murphy; a daughter, Heather Murphy-Navarre and her husband, James Navarre; three grandchildren, Anna, Henry and Grace Navarre, all of Latrobe; four brothers and sisters, Loretta Jean Murphy, of Derry, Ronald Murphy, Lois Waldron, both of Latrobe, and Robert Murphy, of Ft. Myers, Fla.; an aunt, Rose (Quick) Teeter; a special nephew, Tony Waldron Jr.; as well as several nieces and nephews. As per his wishes, there will be no public visitation. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2016, at Unity Cemetery, with Pastor Tom Kennedy officiating. Burial in Unity Cemetery, Latrobe.
