Colleen S. (Sefing) Graham

Colleen S. (Sefing) Graham, 90, of Latrobe, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, in Greensburg Care Center. She was born Sept. 10, 1926, in Allentown, daughter of the late Agnes Sefing. She worked in early childhood education, and was a member of Latrobe United Methodist Church. After a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease, Colleen is on her latest adventure with her heavenly Father and those who passed on ahead of her. She was virtually uncomplaining about this devastating disease. Her daughter spent hundreds of hours at her bedside, making her smile and laugh and sing and be pampered in so many ways. It helped her to remember what a remarkable person she was: loving unconditionally, giving so much of herself to family, friends and strangers. When Colleen touched your life, you always felt pure happiness and love. She will be missed so much, but is where she wanted to be. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Graham, in 2009; two sisters; and three brothers. She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Graham, of Latrobe; a son, Russell Graham, of Arlington, Va.; four grandchildren, Brian (who treated her with loving and gentle care throughout her illness), and his wife, Faith, Meghan, Blair and Collin; and a very dear great-granddaughter, Jordan; one brother, the Rev. Jac Blackman; as well as many very special nieces and nephews; and a dear and loyal friend, Lorraine Black. There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held in the spring of 2017, at a time and place to be announced.
