Christine S. Zimmerman

Christine S. Zimmerman, 88, of Latrobe, passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2010, at Barnes House. She was born Oct. 20, 1921, in Utica, Neb., a daughter of the late Carl Jensen and Flossie Maeder Jenson. She was a homemaker and a member of Latrobe United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis E. Zimmerman, in 1997. She is survived by her son, David L. and his wife, Cynthia Blair Zimmerman, of Berwyn; eight grandchildren, David Jr., Jonathan, Heidi, Nathan, Samantha, Zoe, Cassandra and Tabitha; and one great-grandchild, Brennan. Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. A funeral committal service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Coles Cemetery Chapel with the Rev. August B. Twigg. Burial will be in Coles Cemetery, Derry.
