Carl W. Anderson

Carl W. Anderson, 85, of Derry passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019, at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital.

Born Sept. 6, 1934, in Derry, he was a son of the late Walter and Lucy (Moore) Anderson.

A U.S. Army veteran, Carl was a retired U.S. Postal Service letter carrier. He was a member of Latrobe United Methodist Church and the Kingston Veteran's and Sportsman's Association.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Jamie Lynn Anderson and Corey Byron Anderson; three brothers, Kenneth W. Anderson, Larry Anderson and Robert Anderson, and two sisters, Evelyn Gray (of Latrobe) and Marjorie Keys (of Derry).

Carl is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lois M. Carns Anderson; a grandchild, Tyler Anderson; a brother, Walter Dean Anderson of Derry, and two sisters, Frances Johnston of Ligonier and Nancy Henderson of Hermitage, Mercer County.

As per his wishes, there will be no public visitation. No service will be held.

Private burial will be in Coles Cemetery, Derry Township.
