Betty J. Felbaum

Betty J. (Stadler) Felbaum, 86, of Ligonier, formerly of Youngstown, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012, at home. Born June 24, 1926, in Latrobe, she was a daughter of the late Frank M. and Iona (Loughner) Stadler. Prior to retirement, Betty was fifth floor ward clerk at Latrobe Area Hospital. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Unity Township, where she sang in the church choir. She was a loving wife and a devoted mother and grandmother. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Regis Francis Felbaum, in December 1984 and sister, Gloria Stadler Mitchell. She is survived by three children, Frank Felbaum and his life partner, James Benson, of Harrisburg, Patricia Kunkle of Youngstown and John Felbaum and his wife, Pamela, of North Grafton, Mass., and four granddaughters, Sharon Kunkle and her life companion, Michael Naeger, of Latrobe, Marlene Kunkle of Colorado Springs, Colo., Jessica Felbaum and Emily Felbaum, both of Massachusetts. She also will be sadly missed by her feline companion, Little Ben. Visitation will be private. A graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 14, in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township, with the Rev. Bill Schaefer officiating; burial will follow.
