Betty M. (McDonald) Fagan

Betty M. Fagan, 93, of Latrobe, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, at Greensburg Care Center. She was born Oct. 30, 1923, in Latrobe, daughter of the late Elmer C. McDonald and Sara Long. She was a retired receptionist at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and American Legion Auxiliary Post 515. Following retirement, she worked in the office of Idlewild Park and managed Timberlink Golf Course. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Fagan, in 1978; and a brother, James McDonald and his wife, Dorothy. She is survived by her son, George F. Fagan Jr. and his wife, Eleanor, of Latrobe; three grandchildren, Wendy Fagan, Patrick Fagan and his wife, Joni, and Colleen Gain and her husband, Jason; five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Rachel and Jacob Friend and Palmer and Kate Fagan; a sister, Eleanor "Norie" Schrecongost and her family, Jim and N.J. King and Debbie Prohaska, and a brother, Elmer McDonald and his wife, Jean. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017 at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. Additional visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, 2017, at Frederick Funeral Home Inc., with Trinity Pastors officiating.
