Asako H. Stanko

Asako H. Nankaku' Stanko, 79, of Latrobe passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born March 4, 1934, in Hiroshima, Japan. Prior to retirement, she was a nurses' aide for Edgewood Nursing Center, Unity Township. Asako was preceded in death by her husband, Steve P. Stanko, as well as several brothers and sisters. She is survived four children, Steven R. Stanko, Michael J. Stanko and his wife, Pam, Rose Marie Pillado and her husband, Luis, and Mary Ann Stanko; eight grandchildren, Tasha, Chacoya, Larry, Karin, Tonia, Joshua, Stacey and Corey, and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation and services will be private. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Unity Township. Frederick Funeral Home Inc., Latrobe, in charge of arrangements.
